A little Altered something :-)

Hi all my wonderful friends out there in blog land.

How are you all doing?

I decided to spend sometime in the craft room yesterday, as today I am taking the girls to La Ronde amusement park, well we are stopping overnight tonight and visiting the park tomorrow :-)

I have had this Bisto gravy tub, sitting on the shelf for absolutely yonks, and thought it was about time I used it.

So from this.....

To this ......

I am going to be decorating Shannon's bedroom in the fall, and she is going for purples.  So I thought this would be perfect to go on her desk.

The image is from the Polka Doodles Candy Doodles CD and the papers are from the new Bonbon Belles CD.  She has been coloured up with Spectrum Noir markers, and then I added a little more green ink for grass and then some clouds in the background.

The Spectrum Noir pens I used were:

Hair        CT4, GB1, TN1
Skin        TN2, FS2
Top         HB1, HB2, HB3
Trousers  LV2, LV3
Shoes      PL1, PL2
Flowers   OR1, CT4

The butterflies were cut by hand from some of the left over butterfly paper.  And then I added some bling to their bodies.  I only adhered the bodies to the container, to make them stand out.

This weeks challenge is still open over at Polka Doodles and the theme is In the Garden, so this would fit right in :-)

Hope you will go along and enter, you have until this Sunday, 18 August (12 GMT) to get your entries made.

I also have been having a little play around with Microsoft Publisher and made myself a new little watermark! What do you think?

This creation is being entered in the following challenges.

  22. Love this. I started crafting this way - covering something with decorative paper, adding trim, etc. Nothing like what you've done, but at the time it was what we did. And LaRonde - what a beautiful place. Haven't been to Montreal in about four years - time to go again and this time visit LaRonde for some poutine. (did I spell that right?)
